Seeduwa is a vibrant town located in the Gampaha District of Sri Lanka's Western Province, approximately 20 kilometers north of Colombo. Its strategic location between the Investment Promotion Zone in Katunayake and the Ekala Industrial Estate has made it an important hub for economic activities and residential development. Historically, Seeduwa has been influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial periods, leaving a rich cultural heritage evident in landmarks such as the observation tower at Amandoluwa and the St. Mary's Church built in 1890​​.


Geographically, Seeduwa is bordered by the Dandugam Oya (Aththanagalu Oya) to the south and east, and the Negombo Lagoon to the west. This positioning gives the town a unique ecological landscape featuring land, marshes, and mangroves. The area is known for its tropical monsoon climate, which is fairly temperate throughout the year with peak rainfall occurring in May and October. The average yearly temperature is around 29.5°C, making it a warm and inviting place to live.

The town has experienced significant population growth and development due to its advantageous location and the establishment of an open economy. Seeduwa serves as a residential area for many employees working in the nearby industrial zones, which has led to increased housing and infrastructure developments to accommodate this growing population.
